Support System for Success – Vision Board Challenge Day 6

In my desire to be an entrepreneur, I can definitely say that surrounding myself with like-minded people all geared towards success has been very powerful. It’s boosted my confidence and kept me motivated.

Unfortunately, those people are all relative strangers to me. We were randomly chosen by our position in a line on a spreadsheet that was set up by the team who run the training program for which I signed up.

Nonetheless, their support at our weekly meetup group has been invaluable. I find that I want to continue to make small gains so I have something positive to report. In turn, we each provide each other suggestions, celebrate small successes, and offer encouragement.

Which got me thinking – do I need a support system for my vision board?

Sharing your dreams and visions

There’s an inherent vulnerability with sharing your dreams with someone. You’re sharing a piece of yourself, and for some, that may be a bit uncomfortable. Will they laugh? Will they tell me I’m silly or foolish? Any and all of those things may happen.

When it does, remember this. The very fact that you took the time to create your vision board shows your level of conviction and commitment to your goals and your dreams – your vision. All the laughter and jokes in the world can’t take that away from you. In an ideal world, we’d have unconditional support from those with whom we chose to share our vision board. In the end, all that matter is that YOU believe.

Why you need a support system

Some people do well enough motivating themselves towards achieving their goals. Either by grit, stubbornness or an “I’ll show you” attitude, they persevere, pushing through obstacles to cross the finish line.

Having a support system makes the bumpy ride to success a lot easier. With the right people beside you to walk through your triumphs and support your struggles, you’ll be more likely to reach your goals and overcome hardships. These trusted people truly care about you and have your best interests at heart.

Share your Vision Board!

If you’re wondering if you should share your vision board, I say YES! Bring your friend, family and skeptics along for the ride. Allow your dream to manifest deeper within you by sharing it out.

Day 6: I challenge YOU to post one Vision Board picture a day for 10 days. No explanation, no review, just the picture. Nominate someone else to do the same!
